Day 1: Kigali – Akagera National Park
Depart Kigali in the morning and travel east toward Akagera National Park. Arrive at the park and enjoy an afternoon game drive through its beautiful savannah and wetland landscapes. Search for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife before returning to your lodge.

Day 2: Full-Day Akagera National Park
Spend a full day exploring Akagera National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. An optional boat safari on Lake Ihema offers another way to experience Akagera’s wildlife and birdlife.

Day 3: Akagera – Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking – Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trek. Once you find the gorillas, enjoy an unforgettable encounter observing their behavior and interactions in the wild.
